For unto us a child is born....

This is another of the Christmas cards we made at the workshop this month. It utilises the Madonna & Child stamp set that is available in the current Stampin' Up catalogue (page 26). I felt the stamp was beautiful in itself so the card is very simple to reflect that. I have included two photos for you to look at. The list of materials are listed below.

I am not sure if I will be able to make another post before Christmas, so I want to pass on my best wishes to you and your families. May you have a wonderful Christmas celebrating with family and friends. God Bless you all and keep you safe this festive season. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Materials used:

Stamp set: Madonna & Child
Stamp pad: Chocolate chip
Cardstock: Natural ivory, always artichoke & very vanilla
Accessories: Stampin' pastels, blender pens, glitter glue & chocolate grosgrain ribbon

Sandy Claws

Unfortunately this Crab & Co stamp set is unavailable now!! It was in our Spring Mini Catalogue this year. I know some of you purchased it, as did I. I wanted to show you a Christmas design using the adorable little crab. Again this was not a difficult card to make. I have stamped the crab using chocolate chip ink onto confetti cream cardstock, then I have coloured the crab using my Stampin' pastels. The confetti cream matte has been mounted onto a strip of always artichoke, which is then mounted onto real red cardstock (I really like this colour combination)!! The always artichoke has been stamped with the Print pattern background stamp, and then I have used white gel pen to create a quilt-like pattern. For added bling, I used glitter glue to accent some elements on the card, also the edges of the confetti cream cardstock has been inked with chocolate chip to add dimension.
Materials used:
Stamp sets: Crab & Co, Print pattern, & sincere salutations
Stamp pads: Always artichoke, chocolate chip & basic black
Cardstock: Confetti cream, always artichoke & real red
Accessories: Glitter glue, stampin' pastels, blender pens & white gel pen

Oh Christmas tree, Oh Christmas tree.....

Well it's nearly that time of year again!! What better way to get in the Christmas spirit then sending handemade Christmas cards to family and friends. I thought I would share with you one of the cards we made at the recent Christmas stack workshops. It was quite simple to make, but the little touches gave it added elegance. The card itself was embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder. Then the stamped image (taken from Greetings Galore) was mounted on bravo burgundy, which was notched, and gold cord was weaved around the notches. For added bling, some workshop attendants coloured the baubles and star on the tree with glitter glue. All products used, other then the cuttlebug and glitter glue are available from Stampin' Up.
Materials used:
Cardstock: Handsome hunter, bravo burgundy & whisper white
Stamp set: Greetings Galore
Stamp pad: Basic black
Accessories: Stampin' pastels, gold cord, blender pens, glitter glue, cuttlebug & script embossing folder.

Holiday Thyme Designer Series

Here are some gift bags I have made out of the Holiday Thyme Designer Series paper. Aren't they cute!!! Stampin' Up® has a promotion running at the moment where they are selling this designer series pack (12 x 12 pages of 6 designs, 2 of each) for an incredible $14.50 (usually $ 17.25). I have downloaded the 2, 5, 7, 10 box template from Splitcoast Stampers to create these little gift bags. I have then filled them with Christmas candy, ready to give to friends and my son's preschool teachers. They were so quick and easy to make. You should give it a try. The promotion for this designer series ends on the 15th December 2007, so don't miss out. Call me today to place an order. There are more great ideas on the Stampin' Up® website for use of this paper i.e Christmas bon bon & cards.

On another note, there are a few exciting things happening at the moment. Stampin' Up® has released it's new mini summer catalogue that is available to purchase from as of December. Some of you may have received a copy in the mail. However, if you did not, feel free to email me and I will post one to you for $5 (includes postage).

In the new year, Stampin' Up® is running an exciting promotion called Sale-A-Bration. What this means is that you can earn sets advertised in the Sale-A-Bration brochure (available from me) FREE!! You simply need to make a purchase, host a workshop or become a demonstrator (conditions apply).

If you have any questions, or would like to find out more about any of the above mentioned promotions, please don't hesitate to email me.

Finally, I would like to thank each and everyone of you who purchased the All in the Family stamp set during the month of November. As you are aware all proceeds went directly to the Abbott family. Over 4100 sets were sold worldwide!!! It is amazing that so many people got behind such a worthwhile cause. So thank you again on behalf of Stampin' Up® and the Abbott family.
